SHAX is an independent local Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, Charity Number SC 042940. We are based at Merrick House, The Crichton, Dumfries – please see our Contact page for how to find us.
SHAX is governed by a Board of Trustees whose membership includes senior personnel from local established Support Agencies and individuals interested in supporting our aims – which are to provide practical help to individuals and families in who are facing hardship brought about by homelessness.
SHAX supplies minimal cost crisis need used furniture and white goods to people in Dumfries and the surrounding areas – see our Homelessness Support page for more details.
Our Charity Furniture Warehouse is also open to the public Monday to Friday 9.30 to 4, providing reasonably priced pre-used goods and vintage/retro items – see our Warehouse page for more details.
